Located at the center of one of the nation’s leading, EDA-designated Technical Hubs, we offer vast expertise in biomedical research collaborations, combined with a slate of industry-focused research services including clinical trials, medical innovation, continuing education and research core facilities. Innovative research in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health is central to Wisconsin’s designation as a Regional Technology and Innovation Hub focused on biohealth. The Economic Development Association has awarded the Wisconsin Biohealth Tech Hub with $49 million in federal grants, with additional state funding and industry commitments bringing the total over $80 million. Five interconnected projects, will unite innovation, manufacturing, and workforce development initiatives, building a world-class personalized medicine center.
Most notably, the Wisconsin Health Data Hub project will be led by the UW School of Medicine and Public Health and aims to establish a cyber-secure repository of expansive health data, which will accelerate prototype development, clinical trials, and product realization, propelling Wisconsin to the forefront of health innovation worldwide. Our office can help you tap into our powerhouse of experts in personalized medicine, biotechnology and health care.
The Office of Biohealth Industry Partnerships structures industry relationships with faculty and researchers in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health. We offer streamlined services to negotiate and facilitate research agreements that adhere to university policies and guidelines, with a unique and clear focus on biomedical research and health care.
